Ken Daubenspeck started Daubenspeck and Associates in the early 1980’s to meet the needs for assessment knowledge in the growing information technology arena. In his role, he oversees as well as personally performs all business development activities. Professionally, Ken considers himself first and foremost an executive search consultant. He personally manages his own portfolio of searches, and performs all search activities from “start-to-finish” for a broad range of clients including Fortune 100 companies, middle-market, small privately held local businesses, blue chip professional service firms, entrepreneurial start-ups, and non-profit associations and academia. Previous to Ken’s 23-year career in executive search and selection, he drew upon his team building experience and training in both the United States Navy and EDS, and built a consulting firm designed to train executives and improve team performance. Ken has long been considered an expert source on trends in employment. He has been named to the Who’s Who in the Midwest. He has been featured or quoted in Wall Street Journal, Information Week, Computer World, CIO Magazine, Chicago Tribune, Crain’s Chicago Business, and interviewed on WGN, ABC and the Chicago Business Journal Show. Daubenspeck & Associates was listed by Crain’s Chicago Business as being one of the top twenty-five largest executive search firms in Chicago. He has been a speaker at various technology and career related events, including events at such noted organizations as Financial Executives Network, Midwest Conference for Society of Information Management, and KPMG/NNC’s Annual Symposium. Ken has served as Alumni Board Chairman for DePaul University’s School For New Learning. He has also served on the board of Broader Urban Involvement and Leadership Development, a non-profit organization devoted to reducing gang involvement in Chicago. He is an active member of the Society for Information Management, The Executives Club of Chicago, The Association of Executive Search Consultants and serves on the Board of Directors of Junior Achievement. Ken and his wife, Rima, live in Chicago where as partners; they have
together built the executive search and selection business of Daubenspeck
and Associates. They have two daughters. |
